Originally I had a dinner reservation at a different restaurant but after ordering some appetizers as snacks whilst having drinks at the lovely mezcalería, we ended up having dinner at Cocina Libre instead! The garlic mushrooms are to die for and the fried tuna ceviche is unlike any other ceviches, outstanding! My only complaint is that I only have 1 stomach and can't try everything on the menu. If I ever have the chance to come back to this lovely city again, Cocina Libre would be at the top of my to-do list. Thank you for a wonderful birthday dinner ”

The place takes you to a quiet courtyard with a few tables. The music prepares you and creates the atmosphere. The bartender is a great presenter and for those like me who have a weak alcohol culture, it is also a kind of introduction to the local alcohol drinks and tastes. I will be back to try more of Daniel's delicious ideas. ”

The decor is also cool, they have a nice patio and a bar for cocktails. It was simple great, best place in Valladolid among the ones we tried! The prices were more than fair for what you get ”

“ Wow! This place was amazing! The wait staff was helpful and attentive. Our waiter happen to be the chef - Daniel. So of course we took his recommendations. We started with the guacamole with longaniza, and then had the risotto and the blue cheese pasta (sounds odd, I know, but it works!) All of the food was delicious. Their menu is small, which I prefer, as it means each dish will be special. They also have a selection of mezcals that they procure directly from producers in Oaxaca. We had a couple of their mezcal drinks (maracuya & jamaica) - super tasty. Chatted with the chef Daniel for a bit - super nice guy, who obviously cares about his food and the experience of his customers. The best meal we had in Valladolid - can’t recommend enough. Thanks Daniel and staff! ”
